INFECTION CONTROL

Infection control professionals have been utilizing UV-C (UVGI) for decades and the CDC Guidelines recommend its use as an engineering tool to help mitigate the spread of infection in healthcare settings. Now, UV Resource has improved the application of UV for infection control with its RLM Xtreme and Stinger products.  The RLM Xtreme delivers high intensity UV-C energy with 360 degree irradiation to improved airborne and surface kill rates.  The Stinger addresses the small fan coil units often used in patient rooms by keeping the coils free from biological growth while also providing airborne disinfection.  The GLO offers in-room upper air (also know as upper room) best-in-industry kill rates at a fraction of the cost of similar less effective units.

RLM Xtreme

It’s no longer necessary to use costly, hard to install, and potentially unsafe metal fixturing that can interfere with plenum access. Xtreme combines the most reliable UV-C components in a simple, flexible, and affordable system design that’s configurable to fit into most any plenum. Its exclusive LampClamp™ mechanism uses a compression nut and flexible flutes that encase a 4- pin lamp within the LampHolder™. The connection firmly holds the lamp in place to provide a watertight seal. Another feature is EncapsuLamp™ (FEP lamp coating) that protects the system, space, and the installer from lamp residues such as mercury and glass should lamp breakage occur. Whether for coil irradiation or killing airborne microorganisms, or both, Xtreme delivers adaptability, ease of service, and the industry’s longest warranty, all at the lowest cost of ownership. For over a decade, the UV-C choice has been clear—RLM Xtreme!

RLM SS Kits

The Remote Lamp Mount (RLM) Small Systems (S/S) ultraviolet (UV-C) lamp fixture kit from UV Resources delivers ultraviolet energy to destroy coil/drain pan microbial infestations and disinfect moving air streams in hard-to-service fan coil units, package (PTAC) units and heat pump systems. By inactivating these microbes, the UV small systems kit helps prevent coil inefficiencies, drain pan overflow and foul odors.

Stinger.jpg

Stinger™ 24V UV Fixture

The Stinger is designed for “under-serviced”, hard to access A/C systems, such as fancoil units, heat pumps, unit ventilators, terminal units, and individual duct runs. It installs on the exterior of equipment so there is no need to open the system for installation or lamp change outs. Stinger is ideal for critical or specialty unit applications in hospitals, industrial, and pharmaceutical plants — anywhere UV-C is needed in small equipment. Stinger employs a 24V power system that reduces code and safety issues yet delivers 18 Watts of UV power from a quad lamp that projects only 7.38” into the airstream. Stinger’s components are water resistant and therefore safe, simple, and just right for many of today’s applications — it’s also the most affordable and easiest to install UV-C choice available in the market.

  • Commercial-quality product

  • Fast/easy to install and service

  • Conveniently installs externally

  • No need to open equipment

  • Trouble-free 24V operation

  • Powerful quad-lamp technology

  • Unequaled UV-C performance

  • Lowers coil pressure drop

  • Reduces A/C system runtime

  • Resolves system cleaning issues

  • Improves IAQ

  • Destroys mold and bacteria

SLX High Output UV Fixture

The SLX high output ultraviolet fixture from UV Resources efficiently and affordably disinfects HVACR airstreams, cooling coils and drain pans to keep them free of infection-causing and efficiency-robbing microorganisms and organic matter.

GLO.jpg

GLO™ Upper Air UV Fixture

Upper air ultraviolet (UV) lights have been an effective tool in reducing the risk of airborne disease transmission for decades. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC): “studies have shown that a properly designed and maintained upper-room UVGI system may be effective in killing or inactivating TB bacteria”. The GLO fixture exceeds the performance guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for hospital and healthcare applications.

  • Best in class, longest life standalone upper air UVGI system

  • CAD design increases output and coverage with less power use

  • Far greater coverage means fewer units and total cost required

  • Efficient, low cost, microbial risk reduction for any setting

  • Proven effective in killing all airborne and surface microorganisms

  • Perfect for healthcare, institutional and food production facilities

  • Improves Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) by reducing infectious agents

  • Installs quickly and easily on the wall of all types of rooms

  • Easiest to size, specify, source, purchase and service

  • Patent pending design provides industry’s lowest cost of ownership
